Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order. By completing a purchase you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1. About Us and Scope of Sales

Green Energy Lawn (“we,” “us”) handcrafts cedar planters to order and sells them exclusively to customers located within our local delivery zone, currently defined as within central Monmouth County, NJ. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order placed from an address outside this zone, with a full refund issued promptly.

2. Products

All planters are made from naturally rot-resistant western red cedar. Because cedar is a natural material, variation in grain, color, and minor surface character are inherent to the wood and are not defects. Product dimensions listed on our site are nominal; finished pieces may vary slightly. Photographs are representative — we do not guarantee an exact match to any image shown.

3. Ordering and Payment

Orders are accepted through our online shop only. Full payment is required at the time of order. We accept most credit cards. Orders are not confirmed until payment is successfully processed and your delivery address is verified to be within our delivery zone. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, with a full refund in such cases.

4. Turnaround Time

All planters are built to order in small batches. Our standard turnaround time — meaning the time from order confirmation to readiness for delivery — is 5 to 10 business days typically [e.g., 7 to 14 business days]. During peak seasons (spring and fall), turnaround may extend to one month. We will notify you promptly if your order will be delayed beyond the stated estimate. We make every reasonable effort to meet quoted timelines, but turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees.

5. Delivery

We deliver all orders personally within our local delivery zone. Deliveries are scheduled during standard workweek hours (M-F, 9AM-5PM). We will contact you to arrange a delivery window once your order is complete. Someone must be available to receive the delivery; if we are unable to complete delivery after two scheduled attempts, a restocking fee of [e.g., $25] may apply and a new delivery date will be arranged. We do not ship via carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.). There is no delivery fee for addresses within our standard zone; delivery to the outer edge of our zone may carry a nominal fee disclosed at checkout.

6. Workmanship Standards

Every planter leaves our shop built to a workmanlike standard: square, structurally sound, free from defects in construction, and finished to a consistent quality. Joints are secure, hardware is properly set, and all surfaces are free from sharp edges or splinters. If your planter arrives with a defect attributable to our workmanship — a loose joint, hardware failure, or structural issue — we will repair or replace it at no charge, provided you notify us within 30 days of delivery with a brief description and photograph of the issue.

Normal weathering, natural checking (small surface cracks) as cedar dries, and color change due to UV exposure are not covered, as these are expected characteristics of untreated cedar in outdoor use. We recommend applying a clear exterior oil or sealant to preserve appearance, though the wood will perform well structurally without treatment.

7. Returns and Cancellations

Because each planter is built to order, we do not accept returns on completed, undamaged items. If you wish to cancel an order, you must do so within 48 hours of order confirmation for a full refund. Cancellations after the 48-hour window will be assessed on a case-by-case basis; if materials have already been cut, a partial refund reflecting unused materials and labor may be issued. Custom or modified orders (non-standard dimensions, added features, or custom branding) are non-cancellable once production has begun.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the purchase price of the item(s) in your order. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our products. Cedar planters are intended for outdoor planting use; we are not responsible for damage to surfaces, structures, or surroundings resulting from planter placement or water drainage.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Monmouth County, NJ.
